Fishponds Beat on the River Tay

Wild Salmon Fishing on the River Tay

Andrew Toft Fly Fishing Courses We operate our courses on the Fishponds beat which forms the upper part of the stretch of the River formaly known as the "Lower Scone Salmon Fishings".

The fishery is managed by Iain Kirk.

The fishing starts just upstream from Fishpond cottage and then extends down stream over 2000 yrd's to a point just below Stormont field which is just below the mouth of the Luncarty Mill Lade. There is excellent access to the River bank.

The Fishponds beat is fished in two parts known as "Fishponds" and "Knowesbank". Clients will fish these beats on alternate days.

Fishponds now also has a luxury modern and fully equipped fishing lodge which is situated mid-point between Knowsbank and Fishponds. This provides all the facilities expected by anglers and their guests, including Wi-Fi and a wood burning stove, offering comfort with idyllic views.
